Kyong Sono makes his Kotori debut with “AROUND”, a two-track release blending warm grooves, playful melodies and organic club energy. Arriving September 11, the release moves between the melodic drive of “AROUND” and the more forceful, synth-led character of “STIMMT”, showcasing two distinct sides of his sound.
“AROUND” rolls with a warm, driving groove, playful melodies and subtle imperfections from a detuned Rhodes piano, alongside Kyong Sono’s own vocals.
“STIMMT” takes a more forward-leaning approach, built around layered Vermona synth chords and a jubilant piano breakdown that cuts through its darker energy.
Based in Berlin, Kyong Sono has released over 60 tracks since turning his focus to techno and house around 2020, with music on international labels and his own Betonstrand imprint. His evolving live setup has taken him from Kater Blau and Sisyphos to Fusion Festival, Wonderfruit in Thailand and stages across North America, Mexico, Tunisia and beyond.
