With ‚Sound & Friends‘, Berlin-based duo Propellar present their first solo EP on Kotori, delivering a sunlit Nu-Disco release that celebrates connection, movement and the simple joy of shared moments. Built around playful indie dance grooves, retro-leaning instrumentation and a sense of openness, the EP feels like a soundtrack for late-night kitchens, long drives and spontaneous dancefloor encounters.

The title track ‚Sound & Friends‘ distills Propellar’s philosophy of dance culture to its essence: strip everything back, and all you really need is music and the people around you. Disco guitars, plucky analogue synths and forward-driving house rhythms come together in a warm, uplifting flow that feels both effortless and intentional.

‚Montpellier‘ was born after a 12-hour road trip, written in a hotel room in southern France. Capturing the familiar magic of connecting with like-minded souls through music, even far from home, the track leans into dreamy soundscapes and relaxed grooves, radiating freedom and togetherness.
